Git has a nice workflow, yeah. But if you try to use it to keep track of more stuff than there is in, say, the Linux kernel, then Git slows down: it likes to work with all of the data, but past some amount of data, that approach gets unwieldy. You couldn't use it at Google.
ReplyDeleteActually, that's not quite right. You could use Perforce to pull a subset down to your machine, then use Git's nice workflow to work with that.
